The Tornbergs Support the Future of Marin Humane
Marin Humane's dedication to finding good homes for animals has inspired donors Don and Barbara Tornberg for more than 25 years. Don and Barbara, both longtime Marin County residents, believe that all animals are important and recently increased their commitment to Marin's animals by including Marin Humane in their estate plan. As Marin Humane's newest Legacy Society members, they shared that including Marin Humane in their plan makes them feel good, as they have a very strong love for animals and helping the neediest is extremely important to them.
Don and Barbara have a long history of adopting golden retrievers, welcoming 11 of them into their family since the 1970s. They first became involved with Marin Humane—and gained an awareness of our lifesaving work—by enrolling their dogs in our behavior and training classes and attending educational seminars.
Most recently, Marin Humane's overnight transformation from a shelter to an evacuation center during the October fires in Sonoma and Napa Counties influenced their decision to increase their commitment for the future. We are delighted and honored to welcome Don and Barbara to Marin Humane's Legacy Society. Committed animal lovers like the Tornbergs ensure our work will be their legacy for generations to come.
